Incarnant le mélange des genres puisque les Suédois revendiquent haut et fort leur allégeance au Black ainsi qu'au Death voici que déboule dans les bacs "Death to all". Ce petit manifeste de misanthropie devait être commenté par un de ces concepteurs et Kaosguards s'est attelé à la tâche. Rencontre ave un groupe qui commence sérieusement à se faire connaître et qui grossit d'années en années...
1. Salut tout le monde, Phil de Kaosguards, comment vont les choses chez Necrophobic?
Nous avons récemment joué au « Kings Of Black Metal » festival, c’était génial, et nous sommes en train d’enregistrer un nouvel album « Death To All », qui devrait sortir le 29 Mai.
2. Qu’est-ce qui différencie votre groupe aux autres groupes de Death Metal ?
Nous ne faisons pas un Death Metal traditionnel, on l’a toujours mixé avec du Black Metal. Nous avons aussi une image assez forte et nos « live » sont différents de ceux des autres qui stagnent sous les spots en headbangant. Nous vons plus d’impact dans tout ce que nous faisons… Nous nous dédions entièrement au metal et cela se ressent aussi. 3. Comment se passe l’écriture des chansons ?
Ecrire des chansons en studio d’enregistrement est une vraie histoire depuis des années. On écrit à la maison et on apporte petit à petit les chansons terminées au studio d’enregistrement. On a toujours de bonnes discussions concernant les arrangements afin que les titres soient parfaits. 4. En une phrase, comment décrirais-tu Necrophobic ?
Black Death Metal – C’est sa raison d’être ! 5. Quelle est ta chanson favorite chez Necrophobic?
Aaahh ! C’est impossible! Il n’y en a aucune de mauvaises. Mais pour le moment, je dirais « Death To All » issu du nouvel album « Death To All ». C’est une chanson divisée en trois parties et elle a une atmosphère dont émanent lala noirceur et l’enfer! 6. Y a-t-il des musiciens chez Necrophobic qui ont des side-project ?
Je faisais partie de Souldevourer, mais j’ai dû mettre ce groupe de côté. Mon temps est très limité. Sebastian et Johan font la guitare chez Nifelheim. Tobias en a plusieurs comme Order Of Izas, où joue également notre nouveau bassiste Alexander. Tous les deux jouent aussi dans Trident. 7. Hormis la Suède, quels sont les pays où vous avez le plus de fans ?
Comme beaucoup d’autres groupes, nous avons un gros « fan-base » en Allemagne. Je ne sais pas s’il y a d’autres pays qui nous suivent. C’était en tout cas fantastique de venir jouer à Mexico ! 8. Que penses-tu de ces groupes : Cradle Of Filth, Paradise Lost, Napalm Death, Iron Maiden ?
J’apprécie seulement Iron Maiden. Ce sont eux qui m’ont fait connaître le metal, avant 1982 et j’ai été pris dans la spirale infernale. Ils sont toujours les dieux du Metal !!! 9. Quelle est votre opinion du business musical?
Je pense que l’on doit le connaître pour être capable d’en parler. 10. Penses-tu que de nos jours internet aide un groupe à se promouvoir ?
C’est facile aujourd’hui de travailler la promotion avec MySpace et des sites de ce genre. Mais il est impossible de faire abstraction de la voie traditionnelle comme les affiches dans la rue et les flyers dans les pubs et les bars. 11. Qu’aimes-tu et que détestes-tu dans l’industrie musicale ?
Je ne sais pas à quoi tu réfères le terme « détester ». 12. Est-ce que des concerts sont prévus en France ?
Je n’ai pas de dates dans ton pays pour le moment, mais on travaille dessus. On espère en Septembre ou en Octobre... 13. Merci beaucoup pour tes réponses. Parle nous de tes projets pour l’avenir et laisse nous te souhaiter bonne chance pour ton groupe.

Joakim: We recently played the KINGS OF BLACK METAL festival and it went great and we’re thrilled about the release of the new album ”Death to All”, which will be out May 29. 2.What is the thing which distinguishes your band from the rest of Death Metal acts?
Joakim: We are not the regular Death Metal act, as we always have mixed it with Black Metal. We have also always been very strong image wise and we have a live performance that differes from the regular bands, that just stands still on the spot and headbang. We put more thoughts into everything we do…
We are all fully dedicated to metal and that also affects it all. 3.So how did you approach the song writing?
Joakim: Writing songs on the rehearsal room is history since years back. We write at home and more or less brings finished songs to the rehearsals and take it from there. We have open disucussions regarding arrangements to make the songs in the best way in the end. 4.How would you yourself describe Necrophobic in one sentence?
Joakim: Blackened Death Metal – The Way it was Meant to be! 5.What is your personal favourite song of Necrophobic?
Joakim: Aaah, it’s impossible. We don’t have any bad ones. But for the moment, I’d say “Death to All” from the new album “Death to All”. It a song divided into 3 different sections and it has an atmosphere that reeks darkness and evil! 6.Are there any other musical projects in which Necrophobic members are involved?
Joakim: I was part of Souldevourer, but I had to put that one aside. My time is very limited. Sebastian and Johan also play the guitars for Nifelheim. Tobias has so many, like Order of Izas, where also our new bass player Alexander is part of. Both of them also play in Trident. 7.I´d like to know which are the countries where you have more fans and following, besides Sweden.
Joakim: Like every other band, we have a strong fan vase in Germany. I don’t know if there are other countries that really stand out, I think it’s like wise where ever we go. Mexico was fucking fantastic to come to and play. 8.What do you think about these bands: Cradle Of Filth, Paradise Lost, Napalm Death, Iron Maiden?
Joakim: I only like Iron Maiden out of those you mentioned. Iron Maiden was the band that got me into metal, back in 1982 and I was hooked right away. They are still the Kings of Metal!!! 9.What's your opinion on musical business?
Joakim: You have to know the business to be able to deal with it.
10.How important do you think is the internet nowadays to promote an up and coming band?
Joakim: It’s easier to work with promotion nowadays when Myspace is available, and sites like that. BUT you cannot avoid the traditional ways with posters in the streets and flyers on the pubs/clubs. 11.What do you love and hate in the music industry?
Joakim: I don’t know what hate you refer to. 12. Concerts of planned in our country?
Joakim: I don’t have any dates in your country yet, but we’re working on it. Hopefulle in September/October… 13.Thank you very much for your answers. Tell us your next plans for the future and let us bid you farewell and wish good luck to the band.
Joakim:Well, right now we await May 29, when the new album ”Death to All” is being releaased. And then, as I just said, we go on tour in September/October…
